How to take a photo that can actually be read
- Daylight near a window beats a ceiling light. Avoid flash — it flattens texture and washes out colour.
- Fill roughly a third of the frame with the lesion. Closer is not better if it goes blurry.
- Put a coin, a ruler or your fingertip beside it. Photos have no scale otherwise.
- Take one straight on and one from an angle — texture and elevation show up differently.
- Don't apply cream first. It changes colour and shine.
